Live precious metal prices

Indicative USD spot prices, refreshed every minute while this page is open. Use them for orientation — always confirm an executable price with your dealer or broker.

Risk warning. Prices shown here are delayed, indicative wholesale spot quotes supplied by a third-party feed. They are not dealer quotes, not executable prices, and not an LBMA benchmark fixing. No retail buyer or seller transacts at spot.

Nothing on this page is investment, tax or legal advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation. Precious metals are volatile, generate no yield, and can lose value — past movements do not predict future ones. Always verify an executable price with a regulated dealer or broker before acting. The number of silver ounces one gold ounce buys. Historically it has ranged roughly between 15 and 120 over the modern era; there is no fixed "correct" level, and reversion to any particular value is not guaranteed.

Reading a spot price correctly

Spot is the price for unallocated, immediately-deliverable metal between wholesale market participants. No retail buyer pays spot. Coins typically carry a 3–8% premium, small bars 2–5%, and kilobars often under 2%, with the spread widening sharply when retail demand spikes.

The LBMA Gold Price — set twice daily in an electronic auction in London — is the benchmark most contracts reference. A live spot feed like this one tracks the continuous OTC market between those fixings and will not match a fixing exactly.
